Scanner Measurements
|

|
Streamcheck's Scanners, located in cities throughout North America and Europe, will attempt to connect to your streams
10 times per hour and play your content. Each time a check is done a Scanner will watch the content for 60 seconds while
recording:
• Network statistics (e.g. DNS time, traceroutes, packet statistics).
• Streaming statistics (e.g. connection success rate, bit rate, connect/buffer/rebuffer time).
• Server statistics (e.g. server type, serving platform, streaming protocol).
• Presentation statistics (e.g. frame rate, player errors, metafiles & URLs).
Increased checking frequencies and longer check durations are also available upon request.

Stream/Test Setup
|
|
|
Streamcheck offers several setup options to provide you with assurance that your streams are
consistently available to your audience:
• Managed: we set up and manage tests for you.
• Self-serve: you set up and manage tests via the Streamcheck web interface.
• Auto-aquisition: tests are automatically set up as streams change on your web site.
• XML: you control streams and tests via XML requests.
Regardless of which option you choose, you'll always have real-time access to your results
via the Streamcheck web interface or XML gateway.

Failure Notification
|
|
|
You can count on Streamcheck to immediately notify you via email or pager alerts when
user-defined rules are broken. For example, receive instant alerts:
• When streams are unreachable 3 times in a row.
• When streams are unreachable for more than 5 minutes.
• When buffering times exceed 30 seconds.
• The instant your streaming encoder disconnects.

Scheduled Reporting
|

|
Streamcheck makes it easy to keep an eye on your streaming performance with our
scheduled reporting system. Receive comprehensive, highly-configurable HTML email
reports as often as you like (hourly, daily, weekly, etc). Scheduled reports help you:
• Demonstrate your stream quality to customers and partners.
• Compare different stream hosting solutions.
• Enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
